We love doing Apartment Renovations and this one was an amazing transformation in just three months. The view from this Kitchen was spectacular, looking out over the Royal Botanic Gardens with the MCG just behind.

The scope of works involved in renovating this apartment was completely gutting the existing apartment: kitchen, bathrooms, ensuite, laundry, walk in robes. This also includes taking up existing tiling and carpet throughout. No one tells you about the rubbish removal though - filling bin after bin then taking them all down, via the lifts to the big skip.....the crew definitely make their 10,000 + steps on this day! We try to get this step done as quickly as possible so we are not bothering the other tenants living in the Apartment Block. 
-We then knock down internal (non load bearing) walls and add internal walls where necessary.
-Electrical alterations are needed for new power points for new lighting throughout
-New walls are plastered and patching old or damaged walls. 
-Re plumb for new plumbing mixers and shower heads

-Waterproofing to wet areas 
-And now the glamorous work can start with sanding and clearing for the new engineered timber flooring to go down, on top of a 5mm acoustic rated insulation mat
-New tiling to bathrooms and ensuite with acoustic rates insulation mat to floors
-All new kitchen cabinetry and stone bench tops
-All new vanities with stone bench tops
-New carpet to bedrooms, den and walk in robes with quality Dunlop underlay
-Caulking to tiles and timber flooring throughout

Then we hand over the keys to the very happy clients who have a brand new home in less than four months
